I started running at 10 years of age when I followed an older friend to her running training and have loved the sport ever since. I started competing in Cross Country races and Athletics for the 800m, 1500m, 3000m and eventually taking up the 2000m Steeple Chase during High School. Coming from a very supportive (and competitive) family I was always pushed to do my best, allowing me to compete for Queensland and Australia several times and win multiple Australian medals. I have won the Australian Championships for Steeple Chase 3 times and also won the Australian Championships for Cross Country twice. I am fortunate enough to have represented Australia on two occasions, winning the World Schools Cross Country Championships and also winning the 1500m at the Oceania Games. Unfortunately I suffered some set backs this year with several operations but with the support and commitment from my coach it has only made me more determined and motivated for the track season ahead, enabling me to rekindle my passion for running and love for the sport.
