What sport are you involved in and how did you get involved?
Performing Arts – I started dancing when I was three years of age since then it has progressed into a big passion of mine to now being my career.
What is your greatest achievement thus far in your sport?
My greatest achievement would be, moving to Sydney once I graduated High School in 2014 to study a 2 year Diploma in Performing Arts at ED5 International then graduating last year in 2015. I have gone on to recently being signed with Entertainment Agency.
Take us through a typical training week?
Training is a little different for me as my work changes each week. There is always something new that I'm doing or working towards. I go for a run everyday (this is quite new to me as I have never enjoyed running, I guess doing it in Olympic Park makes it more motivating for me.) I do a workout after my run and then have a good long stretch to work on flexibility and to lengthen my muscles. I go to class each week and this varies depending on what work I have on.
What are your future goals?
Perform on a cruise ship and travel the world doing what I love.
Backup dancing for an Artist/ Being dance Captain.
To be in Mamma Mia the Musical has been a dream of mine since I was young.
Teach and inspire students through the creative industries.
Describe yourself in a sentence?
I am a bubbly yet determined person who loves a laugh and being around positive and fun people.
Who inspires you?
There are many people that inspire me everyday who aren't necessarily within my expertise. Christina Aguilera is someone who inspires me especially her music, every time I need to choreograph, her music never disappoints. But all round as a performer she gives me a lot of inspiration.
What are 3 items we would find in your fridge/cupboard?
I am a sucker for orange juice, avocados and greek yoghurt
What are 3 items we would find in your sports bag?
Dance shoes, drink bottle and deodorant no one wants to be smelly!
How do you stay in your best ‘fettle’?
Doing what I love which keeps me passionate and focused towards my future goals.
What do you look for in active wear?
Comfort, support, durability and flexibility especially as a dancer it needs to be able to move with my body and breath while I sweat. Style is a big one no one wants to feel unattractive when working out.
